Chief Judge Jeffrey S. Sutton to discuss ’Essential Scalia’

The Lewes Public Library’s Lives in the Law lecture series will welcome Chief Judge Jeffrey S. Sutton of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit for an online discussion of his book “The Essential Scalia: On the Constitution, the Courts, and the Rule of Law,” at 5 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 27, via Zoom.

“The Essential Scalia” is the definitive collection of U.S. Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia’s opinions, speeches and articles on the most essential and vexing legal questions. With an intimate foreword by Justice Elena Kagan, the book presents Scalia on his own terms, allowing readers to understand the reasoning and insights that made him one of the most consequential jurists in American history. Sutton will present this extraordinary work in conversation with legal scholar and Lewes Public Library Distinguished Lecturer Ronald Collins. The discussion is free to the public. Registration is required.
