Pulitzer Prize-winning writers to open, close History Book Festival -Lewes

Buzz Bissinger, widely known for his 1990 bestseller “Friday Night Lights,” which inspired a feature film and television series, will discuss his newest book, “Mosquito Bowl: A Game of Life and Death in World War II,” during the keynote presentation at 7 p.m., Friday, Sept. 23, at Bethel United Methodist Church in historic Lewes.Tickets for the keynote event, which includes a question- and-answer session, and a signed copy of the hardcover book, are $32.50.
Ada Ferrer, winner of the 2022 Pulitzer Prize in History for her latest book, “Cuba: An American History,” will be featured in the closing presentation at 1 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 25, at the Lewes Public Library. Admission is $20 and includes the presentation, a question-and-answer session, and a signed copy of the paperback book.
